V101 is not the same path as V103B/V105.

Do not lump every original body together. V103B and V105 share the same custom-filter process. V101 has a separate legacy firmware page and a strong wrong-firmware warning.

Camp Snap 2 can use V105 custom filters.

The catch is filename discipline. Camp Snap 2 replaces one of the six built-in looks, so the file has to be renamed to the exact slot name.

V103B / V105

  • Uses a single custom .flt file in the camera root
  • Camera shows CUS on boot when a custom filter loads
  • Only one custom filter at a time
  • V105 uses the same filter-file process as V103B

Camp Snap 2

  • Can use V105 custom filters when renamed correctly
  • Replace any built-in slot with exact filenames
  • s.flt, v1.flt, v2.flt, v3.flt, bw.flt, A.flt
  • Case matters, especially A.flt

CS-Pro

  • Uses its own model-specific files
  • Lowercase filenames only
  • std.flt, vtg1.flt, vtg2.flt, bw.flt
  • Do not assume V103B/V105 filters work here

V101 legacy

  • Use the V101 legacy support path only
  • Official warning says wrong firmware can permanently break a non-V101 camera

Installation

Simple install steps by model

The camera behaves like a small drive. The main mistake is placing files inside a folder or using the wrong filename.

  1. Connect the camera to your computer.
  2. Copy one .flt file to the root directory, not inside DCIM or another folder.
  3. Disconnect, power on, and look for CUS during boot.
  4. Remove that file before trying another custom filter.
  1. Choose which built-in filter slot you want to replace.
  2. Rename the .flt to the exact slot filename shown in the checker.
  3. Copy the renamed file to the camera root directory.
  4. Turn the camera off and back on, then test the slot.
  1. Use a CS-Pro-compatible .flt file.
  2. Rename it to std.flt, vtg1.flt, vtg2.flt, or bw.flt.
  3. Copy it to the root directory of the camera.
  4. Boot the camera and test the matching dial position.
  1. Confirm it is truly a V101 with the red 3-digit LED counter.

  3. Never mix V101 firmware files with newer camera firmware.

Common filter mistakes

Why did my filter download as .flt.txt?

Some browsers or editors append .txt to unknown text-like files. Rename it so the file ends exactly in .flt, then check that your operating system is showing file extensions.

Can I keep several filters on a V103B or V105?

The safer answer is no. Keep only one custom .flt file on the camera at a time, because the camera may load the first one it sees.

Can I use V103B/V105 filters on Camp Snap 2?

Yes, when the filter is compatible with V105 and renamed to the exact Camp Snap 2 slot filename.

Can I use V103B/V105 filters on CS-Pro?

Assume no unless the creator explicitly says the filter is for CS-Pro. CS-Pro uses model-specific files and a different lowercase filename set.
